Zoë’s vision

for the

central coast

  • homelessness

We need a solution that gives those who want it, the help they need so they can maintain having a stable roof over their head when offered to them. The housing first and only policy isn’t working. Yes, our homeless need a stable place to call home. They also need the services and treatments required to sustain that home.

  • SUPPORTING PUBLIC SAFETY AND FIRST RESPONDERS

We see the headlines every day: from smash and grab robberies to auto theft to violent crimes, now, more than ever, keeping our streets and neighborhoods safe should be a top priority. We need to ensure that public safety and first responders have all the tools they need to their jobs, from dealing with mental health and homelessness issues to keeping the most dangerous of criminals off our streets.

  • ACCESS TO QUALITY HEALTHCARE

Everyone not only needs, but deserves, access to quality healthcare. But creating a massive new state program with CalCare and having the largest tax increase in California History is not the way to do it. We first need to work on fixing the medical provider shortage, so that people can have access to quality healthcare and also working to make sure that we get everyone health care coverage under MediCal or Covered California.

  • Clean water

Support initiative to provide reliable water supply for Assembly District 30 residents, agriculture, and small businesses while keeping pollution away from our local water sources and coastline.

  • mental health

Address the mental health crisis by increasing training for public safety officers, educators, and public sector employees, and expanding mental health resources across Assembly District 30.

  • Education

Build a path toward affordable and accessible higher education for all by reducing tuition costs, promoting academic credit programs, and increasing resources for schools and students.

  • Climate change

Support clean and green energy: Sustainable energy or green energy are forms that can be utilized again and again without putting a source in danger of getting depleted, expired, or vanished. In the age of Climate Change and the growing concerns of reducing global warming, we must do our best to explore all green energy solutions.

  • infrastructure

Work to invest more in infrastructure, increase workforce housing, clean-energy technologies, and modernize our transportation hubs, roads, and bridges. These will lead to creating better-paying jobs to help spur the economy and help our working families.

  • small business

Assist Local Businesses to cope with COVID-19 related issues: While many businesses were caught by surprise to manage the scope and severity of the pandemic, we can support our local businesses through these difficult times. By advising them through business insurance, staff management, and finding ways to reinvent their business for the public, we can assist in rebuilding our economy and tourism on the Central Coast.

  • energy

I’m sure you’ve seen the same headlines I have energy blackouts ahead this summer. We need an “all of the above” approach to solving our energy issues. From renewable energy to biofuels on down. We need to maximize our energy sources here in California while also ensuring the protection of our environment and the treasure of the Central Coast, our coastline, and not be reliant on others, especially given the current state of world affairs.

Governor Gavin Newsome has come out in favor of keeping Diablo Canyon Nuclear Energy Plant open past its 2025 closure date. Nuclear energy provides our nation more than half of our carbon free energy. I look forward to working with Governor Newsom to ensure that Diablo Canyon open, and safe.
